David often said that because I came from Indonesia, that we should prepare to have international guest and our first guest was my sister, Anning who came to attend our wedding ceremony. Because she was very busy, she could only stay for few days. She arrived on 19th of August and had to be back in Jakarta by the 22nd. During her short visit, we took her to several interesting places in and around Adelaide.
Kami mengunjungi Gorge Wild Life Park.
We visited the Gorge Wild Life Park. Here we walked around and fed the kangaroos and wallabies. The more dangerous animals are kept in cages.
As soon as we entered to the park, we went to kangaroo enclosure. The kangaroos seemed so happy to see people coming. That's because tourists often have food for them, so when they see people they come expecting biscuits or peanuts. They still scared us a bit though.

Then we saw the wallabies. What is the difference between kangaroos and wallabies? Wallabies are smaller, their ears are smaller and rounder, their nose is shorter, their hands are longer and they usually live in the bush or on rocky outcrops whereas kangaroos live in more open spaces.
In this park, there are many kinds of animals
And the most exciting part is the photo session with the koala.
For lunch, David took us to the Lobethal Bakery at Woodside. Oh... it all looks so nice! What should I order??
Tujuan selanjutnya adalah Melba Chocolate factory.
Next stop was Melba's Chocolate Factory.
On the way back from the Adelaide Hills, we went through Glenelg, a beach-side suburb south of Adelaide. This place is a popular for walking area while eating ice cream, but it was winter time, so we don't want to do that. By the way, do you realized that GLENELG read from either direction is the same?
On the way home, we also pass through Semaphore, another popular beach-side suburb.
On 21th August 2010, one night before Anning went back to Indonesia, we took Anning together with Karyn and David Bothe to the Genghis Khan Mongolian Barbeque restaurant which was opened 25 years ago. In this restaurant, we took the meat and vegetables we selected to the chefs who cook it on a huge barbeque plate in front of us. The way they cooked and served our dishes ways very impressive.
Wow, David bergaya bisa makan pakai sumpit.
Wow, David can use chopsticks now.
Well, even though this was a short visit, we hope you enjoy your stay with us Sis.
